Hytera TETRA Radio System arrives in Los Olivos, Peru
To provide increased security for its citizens and to be able to react quicker to emergencies, the Peruvian government is relying on the TETRA radio system ACCESSNET®-T IP from Hytera.
The district of Los Olivos, in the province of Lima, is at the same time integrating into the TETRA radio system operated by the Policía Nacional del Perú (PNP).
Mayor Pedro del Rosario officially inaugurated the modern security system in Los Olivos. This inauguration includes integration into the existing PNP TETRA system for the transmission of voice and data, as well as a video surveillance system. The organizations for public security in Los Olivos are therefore in direct contact with the Policía Nacional, Emergency 105, police stations and smartpatrols.
In his speech at the inauguration, Rosario stated: "We are the first district to have 150 radios and that communicates directly with the Policía Nacional del Perú. This radio communication not only permits voice communication, it is also possible to send data."
Along with the 150 handheld radios of type PT580H, the district has been equipped with two stationary MT680 radios as well as AVL applications. Luis Perez, Head of Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH Sucursal del Perú: "With Hytera, the district of Los Olivos has a strong partner by its side and we look forward to working together."
