Simoco's the star in world premier of British film 'Norfolk'
Simoco is set to feature on the big screen through its involvement in the production NORFOLK, a British film written and directed by Martin Radich and starring Denis Ménoche.
Simoco provided two independent sets of radio communications, one for the crew and one for use on film during scenes depicting some explosive and mysterious action involving the production’s main characters. Simoco engineers were on set in locations in Norfolk and Lincolnshire to set up the radio systems which had to cover filming across rural areas and within buildings.
Commenting on their support of the film making, Mike Norfield Simoco Group CEO said: “It’s a proud moment being able to see our radios on the big screen, and we are pleased to be supporting the British film industry.”
Producer Rachel Dargavel added: “The team at Simoco were great, the radios helped us to manage our on-location filming and the props played their part perfectly.”
The world premiere of NORFOLK will take place at The International Film Festival in Rotterdam on the 23rd January and will compete for the Hivos Tiger Award.
Set in Norfolk, amidst an idyllic, brooding landscape, an innocent teenage boy and his battle-weary father live a simple life. Days are spent hunting, fishing and daydreaming. Then out of nowhere, the father, a mercenary, is given a final deadly mission, one that threatens to destroy not just the target, but the love between a father and his son.
NORFOLK was developed, financed and produced through Creative England’s iFeatures initiative with backing from the BFI and BBC Films.
