Hytera Releases new Features for PD5 series DMR Radios
The popular PD5 series fron Hytera received several new features with the latest software update.
According to Hytera Moblfunk on its website, the new software version V7.06.01.006 gives the radios PD505 and PD565 the following improvements:
- Improved dispatcher support via RRS
- Emergency calls
- Operation in XPT radio systems
Improved dispatcher support via RRS
Typical dispatcher functions, such as text messages, telemetry and data transfer, use the RRS protocol (Radio Registration Service) in Hytera applications which allows radios to register via the repeater for the application being used. With the new software update, such dispatcher functions can now be utilized in conjunction with the radios of the PD5 series.
Emergency calls
Emergency calls can now be sent with the PD505 and the PD565.
Operation in XPT radio systems
In addition to the handheld radios of the series X1, PD7 and PD6, the radios of the PD5 series are now also being supported in XPT radio systems. Hytera XPT is a cost-efficient mobile radio solution from Hytera based on proven repeater technology. Based on the conventional DMR radio, XPT offers trunked radio without central system controller node for demanding users.
