Harris Corporation Announces Symphony Console Software Release
Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) has announced a software release for its Symphony dispatch console that will provide dispatchers with improved access and control of portable and mobile radios on the system. The latest software release includes functionality giving dispatchers the ability to disable lost or stolen radios, access the network and see real-time traffic information. The call playback speaker selection function allows dispatchers to direct playback audio to specific speakers connected to the console.
To further reinforce Harris’ partnership with Tait Communications, the new software also gives dispatchers the ability to remotely control Tait’s TB9100 and TB9400 conventional base stations.
