Northern Mariana Islands Opts in to FirstNet

The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands is modernizing communications technology for its first responders. On 19 January, Governor Ralph Deleon Guerrero Torres accepted the First Responder Network Authority* and AT&T** plan to deliver a wireless broadband network to the territory’s public safety community. FirstNet will bring advanced tools that will help the Northern Mariana Islands’ first responders save lives and protect communities.
