FirstNet is Connecting More First Responders Across Georgia

FirstNet has moved quickly to bring more coverage, boost capacity and drive new capabilities for Georgia first responders and the communities they serve – rural and urban.

On Wednesday, Georgia first responders and public safety officials from the Metro Atlanta area had an opportunity to view first-hand some emergency equipment from the dedicated FirstNet fleet of 150 deployable network assets available to boost connectivity following natural disasters and major events – at no additional cost to agencies on FirstNet.

Today nearly all of Georgia is covered with FirstNet, helping connect public safety agencies and organizations in more than 180 communities across the state.
