City of Winchester Selects Federal Engineering for Evaluation of Public Safety Software
Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) has been chosen by the City of Winchester, Virginia to assess with the updating of the City’s Computer Assisted Dispatching (CAD), Mobile Dispatch Systems (MDS) and Records Management System (RMS).
Winchester officials explained:
“We have four major objectives for this project: Project Management and Planning, Needs Assessment and Analysis, the Development of a Specification Document, and Assisting with the selection process of a vendor. The City desires to acquire new systems that will offer opportunities to improve internal processes, provide integration with existing software systems, maximize software utility by expanding the public safety system components used, reduce operating costs, and provide a greater interface with citizens.”
Federal Engineering’s Mr. Don Nagle, Vice President of Operations, 911/ECC Practices, said:
