IHM Introduces Groundbreaking Dispatcher Solution Transforming Bridge Communication
IHM, a Danish provider of innovative communication solutions, announced the selection of its dispatcher solution, IHM IP Flexible, by Beredskab Sønderborg, DK for communication purposes at Kong Christian X's Bridge and Egernsund Bridge.
The implementation of IHM IP Flexible marks a significant leap forward in bridge communication technology, allowing for remote control of all supported functions in the VHF radio Sailor 7222. Notably, the inclusion of the Dual Watch feature empowers operators with unprecedented control and flexibility, enabling them to monitor two channels simultaneously. This advancement enhances safety measures and facilitates faster response times during emergencies.
The IHM IP Flexible dispatcher solution has proven to be a game-changer for Beredskab Sønderborg. Previously operating an older VHF system that required local operation, the organization faced challenges after relocating their premises away from the bridges. Michael M. Madsen, Fire Master at Beredskab Sønderborg, explains the transformative impact:
Since Beredskab Sønderborg moved premises and thus were not close to the bridges, it was necessary to have a VHF system that could be remotely operated. With IHM's solution, we operate the VHF radios and monitor multiple channels via a PC's 10" touchscreen from our new premises. This facilitates our work greatly and provides security for everyone.
The IHM IP Flexible dispatcher solution is meticulously designed to meet the evolving needs of modern bridge operators and emergency response personnel. The system's inherent flexibility allows for seamless expansion with additional operators and radios as needed, ensuring adaptability to various situations and scalability in response to evolving requirements.
