WHO ARE WE?
EMC S.p.A is an Italian company who has been working in the professional telecommunications field for more than 30 years. The core business is represented by the development and production of professional radio equipment. EMC designs and produces, in its very own establishment in Modena, repeater stations and transceiver equipment for both fixed and mobile use. The entire manufacturing of each product is carried out within the company, including design and development which allows each step of production to be scrupulously controlled. The complete knowledge of all our systems, full control of the manufacturing process and direct sales, allow us to offer immediate and efficient answers to all our customers. Our sales force (present throughout the whole national territory) guarantees to satisfy all our customers requests with assistance and services. Over the past few years EMC has been opening new international markets and are currently selling products in Romania, France, Switzerland and Tunisia. EMC pays particular attention to the Quality control system which guarantees professional reliable products. Customer satisfaction is one of the fundamental components of the EMC philosophy.

THE HISTORY
The company began in 1973 when Giulio Alfieri, head of development for Maserati during the 50's and 60's, decided to invest his engineering skills in the telecommunications sector. EMC began as a commercial company acquiring the representation for an important American industry. Soon after, Giulio Alfieri became aware of the enormous potentiality in radio telecommunications and decided to invest in a manufacturing centre for VHF radios (using the American licence). The move towards a more structured professional telecommunication company came from the son of EMC's founder, Vittorio Alfieri. After graduating in Electronic Engineering, Vittorio Alfieri proceeded to establish some important commercial relationships in the world of PMR telecommunications.

COMPANY'S ORGANISATION
The dynamic interaction between the company and all its partners, allows EMC to answer to all its clients requests in the most efficient way. This collaboration and team spirit, is the key to EMC's strength and is essential in order to face constant market challenges. EMC acquired it's ISO 9001 certificate in 1995 and from then onwards, has constantly improved its own quality system. Today, EMC is certified UNI EN ISO 9001:2000.
EMC's staff consists of 30 people based in the headquarters situated in Modena. In all, EMC counts over 200 collaborators/agents in the sales/maintenance centres and over 100 people who collaborate in the development of products and systems. The President of EMC, Vittorio Alfieri, is personally involved in the entire management of the company.

• Complete knowledge of all products, thanks to the in-house development and production. The complete control over the production, allows EMC to adapt / customise alternative solutions.
• All development and production activities are strongly connected together so that the construction of modern and up to date electronic systems is made possible. The highly qualified personnel carry out the whole research-development activity, supervision, identification and testing of all final products.
• Being a small/medium sized company, EMC can offer complete flexibility when resolving problems due to the compact management group.
• It’s not by coincidence that EMC works with the main emergency entities! The company offers reliable professional products based on their very own requirements.
• EMC has the possibility to be competitive with prices due to the fact that they produce internally (ie. Not imported).

Throughout the years, EMC has consolidated it's relationship with some very important clients, such as: Ministry of Defence (Carabinieri) - Ministry of Internal Affairs (Fire Brigade Dept., Public Rescue and Civil Defence) - Ministero delle Politiche Agricole e Forestali - Ministry of Health (118 Ambulance Service) - Ministry of Tunisia Civil Protection - Autonomous Provinces of Trento, Bolzano and Aosta (Fire Brigade) - Italian Red Cross - Regional administrations - Provincial administrations - Communal Services - Head of State - Local Police departments- National Civil protection - Radiotaxi and transport companies.
