Three new Chinese Cities Rely on Airbus’s Secure Communication Technology for their Metro Lines
Airbus confirms its leading position as secure communications technology provider to the transport sector in China.
Airbus will provide secure Tetra communication technology for three new customers in China. Recently, the cities of Taiyuan, Luoyang and Xi’An signed contracts with Airbus, who is known in the region for supplying state-of-the-art and reliable equipment for metro lines. To date, over 100 Chinese metro lines have been equipped with Airbus Tetra secure communication solutions.
The city of Taiyuan, capital of the Shanxi province in Northern China, will receive a Tetra communication system composed of Taira Servers, TB3 base stations for high quality network coverage, TH1n slim and lightweight terminals, and TMR880i mobile radios for the Taiyuan Metro Line 2. This metro line is the city’s very first.
Airbus will also provide Luoyang’s Metro Line1 with a Tetra Taira Sever and TB3 base stations as well as TH9 handhelds and TMR880i radios. It is also the very first metro line in China to be equipped with Airbus’s rugged TH9 handheld radio.
Xi’an, the capital of the Shaanxi Province and city of over 8 million inhabitants, will receive communications technology comprising of a Tetra Taira Sever, TB3 base stations, and TH1n and TMR880i terminals for the Metro Line 5.
