Security Provider for Critical Infrastructure Selects Storm for Lone Worker Protection

BusinessWatch will provide its remote engineers with lone worker safety technologies developed by Storm Intelligent Communications.

BusinessWatch, the largest installer of fire and security systems for utilities companies in the United Kingdom, will equip its remote engineers with lone worker safety technologies from Storm Intelligent Communications.

The partnership intends to keep engineers safe on the job by providing them with real-time location monitoring, instant voice and multimedia messaging capabilities, and SOS emergency alerts while they work in potentially hazardous environments above and below ground.

BusinessWatch supplies utilities companies with bespoke fire and security systems to protect sites against the risk of fire, security breaches and terrorist threats. The properties form part of the national critical infrastructure upon which daily life depends.

Storm’s critical communications will also be available to BusinessWatch customers and their operatives as part of the initial deployment. As well as enabling a fast and reliable response to safety and security scenarios, the technologies allow users to demonstrate full compliance with health regulations and other contractual obligations.
