ASTRID Discontinues Radio Simulation and Training Tool TETRAsim

After consultation and with the approval of the Users Advisory Committee, ASTRID has decided to phase out TETRAsim from 2024

ASTRID has been offering a simulation and training tool for radio use to all user groups since 2017. However, we must note that most user groups, with a few exceptions, make little or no use of this application. After consultation and with the approval of the Users Advisory Committee, it has been decided to phase out TETRAsim from 2024. Many organizations have now taken their own measures to teach or remind the use of a radio and good radio practice, such as providing brochures, organizing courses and providing briefings for events.

ASTRID's training team will draw up a phase-out plan for current active users. ASTRID will no longer create new radios, courses or entities. The existing functionalities can still be used until at least 31/03/24, but ASTRID will no longer support them operationally."
