BelFone equips the China Capital Museum with an Innovative Digital Two-Way Radio Communications System
BelFone Communications, an industry-leading provider of technology and solutions for business-critical and mission-critical communications, has recently concluded the installation of a cutting-edge Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) communication system at the China's Capital Museum. This development significantly improves staff coordination and communication, while also fortifying emergency response capabilities across the expansive museum grounds.
The East Campus of the Beijing Capital Museum, alternatively referred to as the Grand Canal Museum of Beijing, encompasses a vast expanse measuring 99,700 square meters. The museum is designed in a manner that separates its exhibition spaces into a main structure and an audience-shared lobby, which also contains open spaces and public education areas. It consists of sixteen exhibition halls and extensive public service areas. By incorporating a waterside thoroughfare between the structures, the one-of-a-kind design provides visitors with a glimpse into the museum's interior.
In order to fulfill the communication demands of the institution, BelFone executed an all-encompassing digital communication system that was customized to its particular specifications. The primary goals of the system are to guarantee dependable communication quality throughout the expansive museum grounds, facilitate effective staff coordination, bolster security measures, promote user-friendliness, and enable scalability in preparation for future expansions.
The proposed solution is constructed upon BelFone's DMR trunking system, which comprises BF-TD930 two-way radios coupled with BF-TM8250 base stations. This system satisfies the museum's requirement for uninterrupted communication by ensuring that voices are transmitted clearly in all areas.
By employing digital coding and sophisticated encryption techniques like ARC4, the system guarantees the preservation of communication confidentiality while cultural relics are in transit. BF-TD930 radios enable the establishment of distinct communication groups, which facilitates autonomous communication in designated areas such as duty rooms, monitoring centers, and warehouses. This feature guarantees secure and timely communication throughout the exhibit transportation process.
The BF-TD930 radio is equipped with man-down, lone worker, and one-key emergency alarms. These functions empower personnel to instigate emergency alerts to the control center in the event of critical circumstances, thus augmenting the emergency response capabilities of the museum.
In addition, the system's ability to function in conjunction with the BelFone SVT (Smart Virtual Trunking) and the BelFone SDC (Smart Dispatch Console) facilitates increased operational capacity, smooth integration with pre-existing systems, and real-time personnel administration.
The effective deployment of the digital communication system at the Capital Museum exemplifies BelFone's dedication to delivering inventive communication solutions that are specifically designed to cater to the distinct requirements of its clientele. By implementing effective communication strategies and bolstering security protocols, the Museum is able to safeguard cultural heritage and ensure that visitors have a secure and engaging experience.
