French Army Investigates RRF Capabilities with ACMOSS
ACMOSS demonstrates RRF features such as map-centric geolocation, transmission of GPS coordinates with photos, as well as video streaming.
On Wednesday, February 12, Brigadier General Eric Chasboeuf, Commander of EMIA-TN (Joint Staff - National Territory), and his staff were welcomed to the ACMOSS premises by Prefect Guillaume Lambert, Director of ACMOSS, as well as by the agency's teams. This meeting made it possible to identify the operational communication needs and the potential of the RRF for the French Military.
This meeting gave General Chasboeuf a better understanding of the strategic role of ACMOSS as a sovereign operator with guaranteed resilience of mobile communications.
During the discussions, it became clear that the RRF covers a wide range of operational uses, meeting the telecommunications needs of the EMIA-TN, not only for the OTIAD (Joint Territorial Defence Organisation) chain, the Sentinel mission, but also the DOT (Territorial Operational Defence) mission involving the Army and the National Gendarmerie.
Discussions continued during a dynamic demonstration simulating the intervention of several Sentinel mission patrols in the face of a threat, in coordination with the internal security forces. This scenario illustrated the use of the RRF through inter-service conferences via the Syrius application. Several features were highlighted, such as map-centric geolocation, transmission of GPS coordinates with photos, as well as video streaming, thus bringing a concrete dimension to the operational uses of the Sentinel forces.
