MK offers Motorola Tetra devices to Duesseldorf emergencies
Tender includes delivery of digital radio terminals for non-police public safety organizations / Proof point for successful Motorola BOS Partner Programme
Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI), the world’s leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions, will supply the district Government of Düsseldorf with TETRA digital radio solutions together with its BOS partner MK Funkanlagen Service GmbH .
The Motorola BOS partner has won a tender issued by the district government of Düsseldorf in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) to supply TETRA digital radio solutions for its non-police public safety services. In partnership with the specialist distributor MK Funkanlagen Service GmbH in Bochum, Motorola will equip vehicles of disaster control and aid agencies such as the “Arbeiter Samariter Bund” (ASB), German Red Cross (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz/DRK), Mateser Emergency Service (Malteser Hilfsdienst) and the medical help organization “Johanniter Unfallhilfe” with portable and mobile TETRA terminals.
In February, Motorola and MK Funkanlagen Service won a tender to provide the Düsseldorf’s district government with mobile TETRA terminals (MTM800FuG) and portable ATEX radios (MTP850Ex) for ABC (Atomic, Biochemical and Chemical) detection vehicles. The special vehicles will be used by fire brigades in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The contracts include more than 550 terminal devices, training and the delivery of management solutions from Motorola. The recent tender wins in North Rhine-Westphalia demonstrate Motorola’s expertise in the TETRA market and underline the successful collaboration within the Motorola BOS partner network.
