Entropia Digital extends TETRA radio network in The Netherlands

The city of The Hague counts 500,000 inhabitants  and is the second largest municipality in the Netherlands. The metropolitan area has 1,088,508 inhabitants. The Hague is the capital of the province of South Holland. The Dutch government and parliament are located in the city, and it is the residence of the royal family. Furthermore almost all embassies and ministries are located in The Hague. The name of the city is also linked to national and international courts, including the Supreme Court. The Hague is a center for international justice and peace policy, and like New York, Geneva and Vienna, a major UN city.

Entropia was requested to extend the coverage of their digital TETRA network considerably to support special security staff in The Hague. The company was working five weeks on the expansion and the sites are currently in operation. The next zone will be the Leiden region towards Schiphol International Airport. The Entropia network currelty covers approximately 35,000 km ² in Belgium and the Netherlands and the network systematically will be converted from analog to digital. The analog network currently still covers an area of nearly 60,000 km ².
