Sepura strengthens commitment to North American market
Kenneth Hubner, Sales Director for Sepura said: “Following the trends seen elsewhere in the world, TETRA will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the professional mobile radio industry in Canada."
Sepura is very pleased to announce the appointment of Cartel Communication Systems Inc. as an official distributor of its products in Canada. This agreement builds upon Sepura’s growing presence in the Americas and the two companies will work together to drive the adoption of Sepura’s TETRA portfolio in the Canadian market.
The appointment of Cartel comes at a key point in the development of TETRA in the Canadian market. With Industry Canada having only changed its regulations in order to permit the use of TETRA technology in the country in spring 2011, the market is in its infancy and requires experienced and knowledgeable distributors to ensure that the market thrives. With its in-depth understanding of the radio communications sector, Cartel is ideally placed to develop the TETRA market and to ensure that Sepura secures its place as a leader within that market. This new agreement with Cartel Communications follows hard on the heels of Sepura’s recent partnering announcement with Nielson Communications in the USA, further demonstrating Sepura’s commitment to the North American market.
Dave Sanche, President and CEO, of Cartel Communication Systems commented: “Our clients expect the best from us, including products and services that are capable of meeting the rigors of the most demanding professional applications. TETRA has become a very important technology internationally, bridging voice, operational data transfer and machine to machine communications. We have a unique capability to bring the many benefits of what TETRA has to offer to the Canadian industrial wireless communications community. Cartel is proud to have been selected in such a key role and we are excited to bring Sepura’s line of world class solutions to our market.”
Kenneth Hubner, Sales Director for Sepura said: “Following the trends seen elsewhere in the world, TETRA will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the professional mobile radio industry in Canada. As such, Sepura is bolstering its commitment to develop this important market with the appointment of Cartel. Together, the two organisations will enable robust and secure communications across a variety of market sectors such as utilities and transport, as well as a wide range of other commercial organisations”.
