TETRA successfully used in Ireland during pilgrims climbing
Using the Tetra network, multiple teams could communicate with one another.......
Recently migrated to the
National Digital Radio Service, Mountain Rescue Ireland teams provided
operational co-ordination at Croagh Patrick for the largest multi-agency
mountain rescue event in Europe - Reek Sunday.
Using the Tetra network,
multiple teams could communicate with one another throughout the area
whilst also interoperating with Murrisk (Air Corp Helicopter Landing
Zone) on the opposite side of the mountain to provide safety to over
12,000 pilgrims climbing to the summit.
