Sepura wins Best use of TETRA in Utilities at International TETRA Awards
Sepura is delighted to announce it has won the Best use of TETRA in Utilities at the prestigious International TETRA Awards during a gala ceremony which took place in London last night.
The winning entry describes how Sepura’s TETRA solution has improved optimisation of resources and demand management for CREOS Luxembourg S.A, the main electricity transmission and distribution operator in Luxembourg.
The complete TETRA communication solution delivered for CREOS comprises Sepura’s TETRA infrastructure to cover an area of 2.586 km², TETRA radio terminals for voice communications, 2,850 Remote Terminal Units (RTU) for SCADA control. This project makes CREOS the first utility in the world to adopt such a solution over a TETRA network and demonstrates the suitability and efficiency of the data capabilities of TETRA.
On accepting the award Jonathan Hamill, VP Government and Public Safety for Sepura commented: “We are proud for the official global recognition awarded to this prestigious project by the International TETRA Awards’ judging committee. On behalf of Sepura I would like to thank all the teams involved in every stage of this large scale project whose dedication and commitment has made tonight’s success possible”.
Chris D’Aguiar, VP Commercial at Sepura concluded: “This outstanding achievement is also a reward for CREOS whose forward thinking and fast decision processes complemented our flexibility, responsiveness, design and planning capabilities. This is another important milestone for Sepura as it demonstrates our versatility and our expertise in addressing successfully the requirements of the utilities sector”.
