Airwave, the leading mission critical voice and data communications provider, has won two gold awards in the prestigious health and safety awards scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Airwave won a‘Gold Award for Managing Occupational Road Risk’ and a ‘Gold Award for their achievements in Managing Occupational Health and Safety’.

The awards, which date back 59 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as Airwave, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”

Richard Bobbett, Airwave CEO, said: “The awards recognise our ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety both in the workplace and on the road. We were particularly pleased to have been recognised for our work to manage road-associated risks as this has been one of our key areas of focus this year.”

The awards will be presented during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on 15 July 2015.
