Zinwave congratulates Melco Crown Entertainment on the successful opening of Studio City
Zinwave wideband in-building wireless and IP coverage system facilitates TETRA coverage in elevators throughout the resort.
Studio City Macau is a USD $3.2billion investment set to take Macau’s entertainment destination proposition to unprecedented new levels, by providing a ‘next generation’ of outstanding entertainment-driven leisure destination experiences that will help the territory’s evolution into a truly international tourism centre.
The integrated resort, which opened on the 27th October, will provide the ultimate in sophisticated leisure entertainment, hotel, retail, dining and lifestyle experiences, strengthening the depth and diversity of Macau’s leisure, business and tourism proposition as a leading visitor destination in Asia.” Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd.
Zinwave, global suppliers of a wideband in-building wireless and IP coverage solution, known as UNItivity, is providing uninterrupted TETRA coverage for in-house and emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) in all public and service elevators throughout the resort.
Reliable coverage inside elevators forms part of a wider in-building wireless coverage project, which has been completed by Creation Technologies Limited, a company that provides independent technology and security advisory and project management services to large corporates across Asia.
UNItivity’s fiber architecture facilitates seamless integration with modern elevator systems by enabling small remote units to be easily installed in a secure environment on the elevator car roof. UNIitivity also removes the need for antennas to be installed in hotel lobby areas, thus eliminating call handover and call drop issues typically associated with in-building wireless coverage projects.
“A world class resort needs reliable coverage throughout the building to ensure the security and safety of guests and staff at all times,” comments Derek Paton, President, Zinwave, International. UNItivity supports all external TETRA and internal pager systems from a one-layer infrastructure. It is also scalable and flexible so other services (Wi-Fi or MIMO, for example) can be added on demand as the resort grows, offering maximum ROI.”
UNItivity, supports any combination of services between 150MHz-2700MHz on a single hardware layer, regardless of protocol or modulation scheme. It is also the only system to support multiple FDD and TDD LTE services simultaneously across any spectrum allocated globally.
