Municipality of Tumbes video surveillance system goes live supported with TETRA from Hytera

Mayor Manuel De Lama Hirsh inaugurated the system during an event that was attended by Hytera manager Luis Pérez González together with other regional authorities. The new system aims to counter the scourge of crime in Tumbes.

Yesterday, the video surveillance system project of Public Safety Provincial Municipality of Tumbes (MPT) in Peru officially went live. 

Mayor Manuel De Lama Hirsh inaugurated the system during an event that was attended by Hytera manager Luis Pérez González together with other regional authorities. The new system aims to counter the scourge of crime in Tumbes.

The system comprises of 26 video surveillance cameras that work in combination with the a Hytera TETRA radio communications system to enhance emergency communications to the various teams, supported by 3 drones.

The network will be monitorered 24/7 and the drones, will be used to monitor areas where there are no cameras as well as on locations with a high crime rate.
