Airbus Presents Latest Product Developments at the CCW Exhibition in Hong Kong
At the Critical Communications World event, Airbus will put a special focus on communications solutions for metro systems, airports, oil and gas, healthcare and public safety (police and firefighters), and virtual reality situations (Secure MVNO).
Airbus announced today that the company will be showcasing its latest products at the Critical Communications World (CCW) exhibition in Hong Kong from 16 to 18 May.
Eric Davalo, Head of Strategy, Solutions Portfolio and Engineering of Secure Land Communications at Airbus, will explain and introduce the company’s latest product developments.
Moreover, Catalin Gheorghiu, product business manager of Secure Land Communications at Airbus, will present the application developer programme and announce the application developer competition ‘Critical App Challenge’. As it intends to create a comprehensive ecosystem for the Tactilon Dabat, the world’s first smartphone and full Tetra radio in one device, SmarTWISP is gradually selecting the most useful and secure applications for Android users in the public safety sector (police, firefighters, etc.).
In addition, Airbus will honour the Ministry of Interior in Qatar for its successful efforts to establish the first complete Tetra-LTE network on a nationwide scale. Ali Salem Al-Henzab, Director of Communications Department at the Ministry of Interior in Qatar, will be present at a ceremony during the CCW.
This year, Airbus will be showcasing its new, virtualised Taira Tetra Server (picture), a highly efficient, compact and economical solution based on IP technology that replaces conventional switches. Taira Tetra Server still provides the same high service availability as Airbus Tetra switches.
Moreover, Airbus is releasing the latest version of the mission-critical group communication application Tactilon Agnet, which enables police officers or firefighters to communicate securely and flexibly by LTE. The new version of Tactilon Agnet offers enhanced services, such as permanent geolocalisation, navigation, group positioning and user presence. Thanks to Tactilon Agnet, commanding officers can follow the status of situations on a smart device.
The Tactilon Dabat will be presented on the Asian market for the first time, along with the set of apps developed to leverage new possibilities offered by this smart, strong and secure device.
Airbus will put a special focus on communications solutions for metro systems, airports, oil and gas, healthcare and public safety (police and firefighters), and virtual reality situations (Secure MVNO). An expert from the South Korean energy company Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) will be at the Airbus stand to give insights into secure communication systems for power supply companies.
