The National Agency for Communication and Information Technology (NAKIT) has announced its membership of TCCA, the global representative organisation for critical communications.

The National Agency for Communication and Information Technology (NAKIT) has announced its membership of TCCA, the global representative organisation for critical communications.

Founded in 2015 by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, NAKIT is tasked with ensuring the long-term and conceptual development of state-owned information and communication infrastructure.

The major work of the agency includes the mapping of existing information and communication infrastructure of public institutions and their future needs. The result is a unified strategy for the building of innovative and highly secure non-public communication networks in order to achieve the greatest possible synergy and financial efficiencies.

“NAKIT is in a unique position in terms of creating and operating ICT systems to protect Czech citizens and infrastructure,” said Alan Ilczyszyn, who was appointed NAKIT Director in July 2017. “We are pleased to become a TCCA Member and look forward to learning from our fellow Members and sharing our expertise in critical communications.”

“With its complete view of the needs of a nation in terms of critical ICT, NAKIT will bring extremely valuable knowledge and perspective to the work of TCCA. We look forward to working with NAKIT and extend a warm welcome on behalf of all TCCA members around the world,” said Mladen Vratonjić, TCCA Chair of the Board.
