Mexican City Purchases Additional 757 Sepura TETRA Radios
The municipal public security secretariat of the city of Leon, Mexico will add another 757 new Tetra radios to further enhance public safety communications for officers in the field.
Yesterday, members of the procurement committee approved the purchase of the new TETRA radio equipment. The new TETRA radios will be added to the already existing 835 radios that are currently used.
During the procurement process, the procurement committee was informed that a specific brand and type of radio was requested from the supplier: The Sepura STP 9000.
The reason to choose for the Sepura brand was clear. The radios correspond to the equipment that was acquired back in in 2016.
One of the key focus points of the local government is to streamline the type of radios within the force, as this reduces training costs.
