IWCE 2018 Announces Keynote Presentations from AT&T Business, FirstNet and Verizon Enterprise Solutions
Thaddeus Arroyo, CEO, AT&T Business and Michael Poth, CEO, FirstNet to discuss the first Nationwide Public safety Broadband Network; Michael Maiorana, SVP, Federal Government, Verizon Enterprise Solutions will discuss industry insights.
International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), the premier annual event for communications technology professionals, today announced that Thaddeus Arroyo, CEO, AT&T Business; Michael Poth, CEO, FirstNet; and Michael Maiorana, SVP, Federal Government, Verizon Enterprise Solutions will deliver keynote addresses at IWCE 2018. Targeted to government, public safety, transportation, utilities and enterprises, IWCE takes place March 5-9, 2018 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
Thaddeus Arroyo, CEO, AT&T Business will present AT&T’s vision for smart cities, Internet of Things (IoT), and the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) during his keynote address on Wednesday, March 7 at 8:30 a.m. Arroyo was appointed CEO of Business Solutions and International in December 2016. He is responsible for the company's integrated Business Solutions and International organization, which serves more than 3.5 million business customers in nearly 200 countries and territories, including nearly all of the world's Fortune 1000 companies. In this role, he also oversees AT&T's operations in Mexico and DIRECTV in Latin America.
At 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, Michael Poth, CEO of FirstNet will provide an update on the FirstNet network during his keynote address. Poth began his career in public safety with the Tempe, Arizona Police Department where he held various positions in patrol, traffic, detectives, narcotics, and the tactical team. As a Police Captain in Corvallis, Oregon, he held executive assignments leading three different bureaus including the regional 9-1-1 center. Later, as technology senior executive at Northrop Grumman and Hewlett Packard, Poth led mission critical public safety projects for state and local police, fire, and emergency management services agencies, as well as the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. Poth received a BS in Criminal Justice and a Master in Public Administration from Arizona State University and completed executive certifications from the University of Virginia and the University of Chicago.
Additionally, Michael Maiorana, SVP, Federal Government, Verizon Enterprise Solutions, will provide industry insights during his keynote presentation on Wednesday, March 7 at 1:45 p.m. Maiorana manages a team of sales, engineering and sales support personnel, and is responsible for sales and customer satisfaction for federal customers across the U.S. Verizon is the leading provider of communications services to the U.S. federal government, and offers a broad portfolio of intelligent networking, dynamic cloud, mobile workforce, connected machine and cybersecurity solutions to the public sector. Previously, Maiorana was president of the Washington-Baltimore-Virginia region for Verizon Wireless, where he led sales and customer service for federal, state and local government customers, including those in law enforcement, public safety and municipalities.
