Hytera to Support Malaysian Junior Rugby as Official Radio Communication Provider
Hytera, in alliance with its local partner Kinetra Network Sdn, as the official radio communication supplier, is to support the KL Tigers Junior Rugby Tournament on 21st and 22ndof April 2018 at Espom College in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
In order to ensure the smooth running of the tournament, Hytera will equip team supervisors, organisers, pitch marshals, scorers and volunteers with digital two-way radios PD508 and PD378, two models that are well-known for their crystal-clear audio and light weight. Different roles will be able to talk within a pre-programmed group or talk across groups when necessary, which will greatly increase the efficiency of onsite coordinating and operation.
The KL Tigers Junior Rugby 10’s tournament is supported by many clubs with local Malaysian teams as well as teams from Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand to participate. Over 7,000 people are expected to participate in the event this year. “It is great to have the support of Hytera and Kinetra Network providing a communication solution for our event. We simply could not run an event like this without a radio system in place and we are looking forward to using the Hytera DMR radios at this event,” said Paul Freer, the tournament director.
Allen Leong Executive Director of Kinetra Network said: “As a proud Malaysian company we are very happy to offer our support to the KL Tigers for this important tournament,” said Allen Leong, Executive Director of Kinetra Network. “We wish all teams success and that everyone puts in their best to make this tournament the must-play Junior Rugby tournament in South East Asia.”
Terence Ledger, Regional Director for Hytera said“The values the KL Tigers are developing in children sport by an inclusive rugby programme is something that resonates well with Hytera. Investing in the development of Junior Rugby provides the opportunity for the players to grow up knowing the meaning of team work and striving for a goal. That success comes through hard work and determination,” said Terence Ledger, Regional Director of Hytera.
KL Tigers was formed in 2014 and has over 500 Junior Rugby players aged from 4 to 18 years. The aim of the club is to give all of the players, whatever their age, wherever they are from, whatever their experience, the opportunity to play the game of Rugby in the best environment possible.
