PMRExpo 2018 Conference Program Receives 'Facelift'

Starting this year, all three conference days will be designated as ‘Secure Communications Summit’, with a focus on Command and Control Centres on the third day.

PMRExpo is the leading European convention for secure communications. In their 18th year, the professional exhibition will host exhibitors and visitors from all over the world from 27 to 29 November 2018 at Koelnmesse. The international trade fair is complemented by a comprehensive conference programme with a professional focus.

This conference programme has undergone a ‘facelift’. In particular, the designation of the individual conference days is all new – proven elements, as well as the quality and topicality of the contributions, will stay.

Until last year, the first two days were designated as ‘PMR Conference’ and the third day as ‚Congress on Command and Control Centres’. Starting this year, all three conference days will be designated as ‘Secure Communications Summit’, with a focus on Command and Control Centres on the third day. In addition, the programme will be supplemented by the symposium ‘Secure Communications for the Energy Industry’, as well as professional forums with varying topics every day. The 2-day Career Programme of the PMRExpo for students and young professionals will also receive an expansion this year and will enable the direct exchange between companies and young professionals.

A true added value is the 3-day ticket for the entire ‘Secure Communications Summit’. With just one ticket, you can attend all Summit presentations from Tuesday to Thursday and, of course, visit the exhibition. This replaces the previous 2-day ticket for the ‘PMR Conference’. The third day with a focus on Command and Control Centres may still be purchased separately.

‘By changing the names, we want to address the increasing consolidation of professional mobile radio and control centres, but also other applications, devices, and infrastructures for secure communications. The term ‘Summit’ speaks to our international and German visitors alike’, explains Dr. Klaus Hütten, chairman of the PMeV.

To ensure a smooth operation at the Summit, all presentations will be interpreted into German or English during all three conference days.
