DAMM Strengthens It's Position In South Korea
DAMM in Asia forms a strong alliance with System Partner SEANET Marineplanet and Daeyang, providing mission-critical communication for the maritime industry.
Daeyang, a South Korean company specialising in communication systems for naval ships and submarines, has integrated the DAMM TetraFlex system into their WIRAS-III. This Wireless Interior Communication System allows the ship’s crew to communicate wirelessly with each other inside or outside the ship and thereby helps marine customers ensure worker safety and keep operations running.
SEANET Marineplanet, a local expert in offshore communication systems, has a long history of success in critical communication. Ranging from consultancy to engineering services SEANET is the go-to expert in implementing TETRA solutions. For this naval project, they implemented one four-carrier DAMM Indoor Base Station BS418 for each ship.
“DAMM was chosen by our client because it offers the most powerful and yet energy-efficient system as well as decentralized architecture,” says Mr Yoon-Ki Ryu, CEO of SEANET Marineplanet. “DAMM secures availability in the most critical scenarios. Even in extreme weather conditions and where time is of the essence, DAMM can still meet the high military standards.”
CEO of DAMM, Jens Thostrup, states, “Our close collaboration with local specialists enables us to deliver reliable, flexible solutions to clients worldwide, ensuring seamless integration of customised applications and easy interconnection to a wide range of existing systems, including VHF marine.”
