CSE Crosscom secure Australia-wide footprint with Gencom Acquisition in New South Wales
CSE Crosscom said it is pleased to announce its acquisition of General Communications Pty Ltd (Gencom), a New South Wales-based leader in wireless communications solutions.
The transaction, which cements Crosscom’s footprint as Australasia’s largest telecoms integrator, will see Gencom’s 35 year established brand continue in existing locations - enabling Crosscom to capitalise on key mining hubs and eastern seaboard distribution and transport networks.
“A key fundamental to our long-term interest in and healthy respect for, Gencom was its central and regional presence in New South Wales where we have sought to introduce our technology solution offerings. Expanding our Crosscom capabilities on the east coast will be complementary to both client bases offering a truly national communications partnership with large-scale, tier 1 maintenance and support,” commented Alistair Tibballs, Crosscom’s General Manager.
Crosscom maintains a clear growth strategy, backed by the CSE Australian headquarters and a global network of more than 45 offices in 16 countries. Gencom is just one of a number of acquisitions made by the Company in Australia and New Zealand over the past 18 months which include Genesis Communications, Marcom Watson and Gambier Electronics.
“As CSE continues to lead voice, data and video communication systems in Australia and New Zealand, this deal will leverage Gencom’s history and longevity in the New South Wales market and the Hunter Valley. Linking Gencom to our national corporate services centre, as well as our globally accredited commercial, quality and safety systems will see us continue to shape the future of intelligent business in Australasia,” said Roy Rowe, Chief Executive Officer - CSE.
Crosscom is constantly innovating and working with the world’s leading manufacturers to meet the needs of industry – communication is just the start – but the main Company focus is on the systems, equipment and infrastructure that keep workforces safe, productive and compliant.
“The joining of our two companies is great news for customers and our people. Our rapid growth, and agile approach to technology design and implementation is testament to the individuals behind our name. I’d like to thank our people at CSE for their ongoing commitment to stay ahead of the pack, to differentiate and get the job done, even in the most demanding of environments. And, finally we welcome the Gencom team whom we’ve held a long relationship with and look forward to continuing our innovation journey together.” concluded Tibballs.
