Savox Communications launches new remote speaker microphone
The RSM 25 remote speaker microphone is aimed at industrial and security applications, while the German market gets new PTT solutions
Savox Communications has enhances its range of professional radio accessories with the launch of a new remote speaker microphone. It has also launched a new remote PTT (push-to-talk) module, a new car key fob style discreet PTT unit and new 2 and 3 Wire semi covert kits for the German market.
The RSM 25 remote speaker microphone (pictured) is rugged, lightweight and is aimed at industrial and security applications. It has an improved acoustic performance and is a very flexible and ergonomic solution, with a 3.5mm earphone socket for connection to D Shell, G Loop and ear bud style listen only earpieces. It has an emergency button (for radios that support the feature), includes high/low volume settings and is also available without the 3.5mm socket as a fully waterproof (IP67) version.
The wireless PTT solutions being launched into the German market include a ‘highly discreet’ new car key fob style PTT for ‘deep’ covert work and the option of an alternative PTT with a Picatinny type mounting for firearms use. The solutions are unique, according to Savox, as they offer simultaneous pairing of multiple PTTs.
The new wireless PTTs can be built to work with the existing Savox inductive products which include the LEP 110 Neckloop microphone inductor, the LEP 120 Brooch microphone inductor, the LEP 130 Flexible inductor all of which work with the existing range of Savox covert wireless earpieces.
The new 2 and 3 Wire kits take the usability of the existing equipment, but are now are designed, engineered and manufactured in house by Savox Communications, ensuring the highest quality and performance of these premium products. The wire kits include an acoustic tube with replaceable ear inserts and a small microphone PTT unit which can be clipped to clothing. The 3 Wire kit also includes an additional cable with a separate miniature microphone.
Andrew McLachlan, Vice President of Savox , said: ‘These products are further evidence of our strategies to provide customer driven innovation and quality. We are listening to the market and the car key fob style PTT and simultaneous multiple pairing of PTTs are very innovative solutions, whilst re-engineering the RSM 25 remote speaker microphone to our own high design and manufacturing standards demonstrates how we are putting quality at the top of our agenda.’
