The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) is an ongoing construction project which connects Hong Kong at its east end to Zhuhai and Macao at its west end, and will provide a significant part of the expressway in the Pearl River Delta regional transportation loop.
As a key project crossing the Lingdingyang and connecting the east and west bank of the Pearl River, strong signal covering submarine tunnels and artificial islands is critical to its construction for smooth and efficient communication on and under the sea. Hytera fully understands the requirement of HZMB project and provided RD980 repeaters, which support different operating mode of analog and digital to interconnect for voice cross patch, and PD70X two-way radios, which ensure outstanding performance under harsh environments with its IP67 Standard. Currently the construction of HZMB is at the tube tunnel immersion stage and the 50km length bridge is due for completion in 2015 and will open in 2016. By that time, it will become the world's longest six-lane immersed tube tunnel, and the world's longest highway that combined with cross-sea bridge & tunnel.
*The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) is the first large scale infrastructure project to be developed jointly by the three regional governments of Guangdong Province, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Macao Special Administrative"
