The Brazilian airline Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras has currently adopted DMR digital system from Hytera, which increased 100% of the radio communications coverage in various airports

The Brazilian airline Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras has currently adopted DMR digital system from Hytera, which increased 100% of the radio communications coverage in the airports of Campinas, and Confines Pampulha, Porto Alegre and Azulville, the company's headquarters in Barueri. The airline has used Hytera repeaters and digital portable radios since 2012, and nowadays all the staff for operation and maintenance from the airports mentioned above are using the equipment to ensure seamless communication in all areas.

According to Robson Costa, the Department of Telecom and Information Security Bureau, radio technology is the essential tool for airport operation. It helps passing on important information immediately in situations such as baggage loss, aircraft repair, and loading and unloading of passengers so as to avoid possible delays. "The old analog system did not cover the entire area of the airports. With Hytera's digital solution, we obtained greater coverage and lower downtime. Moreover, the possibility of radio communication between databases that operate with the same system and engineers who are at headquarters with the maintenance team on track." he adds.

The Hytera DMR digital radios have specific features to meet the communication needs of the airport environment. "We chose Hytera equipment for durability, ease of handling and water proof. The device gives us an almost zero rate of maintenance and more uptime." says Costa.
