Vertex Standard LMR, Inc., a leading manufacturer of two-way radios, announced today the launch of the new eVerge™ EVX-Link that allows users to talk from country to country without the need for additional dedicated equipment.

The Internet Protocol (IP) Connect technology uses a standard Ethernet connection for ease of use for worldwide communications.

Vertex Standard’s eVerge EVX-Link can connect digital mobile radios (DMR) faster and be installed anywhere from a high-rise building or a large campus, to geographically separate sites. This allows users, such as private security companies, to communicate with other users in multiple locations across town or even across other parts of the world. No repeater is required, and the customer simply needs an Ethernet connection and a power supply to begin operating. The eVerge EVX-Link can also be used with existing systems and offers expandable coverage, which can be linked to as many as 32 sites for greater geographic reach.

"Customers are amazed at the significant increase in capability offered by this product’s convenient and simple design,” said Mike Petersen, director and general manager, Vertex Standard. “EVX-Link is going to help our customers significantly change their operations and evolve to digital radio technology in a faster and more cost effective way.”

The eVerge EVX-Link works with both onsite and repeater-based systems, or a mix of both, resulting in zero disruption to customers and an affordable solution for a variety of users. Vertex Standard is also providing online training and dedicated customer support so that customers can install the system without the assistance of an engineer. The new system is available and in stock now in North America.
