From May 1 to 2, 2021, the 15th Haixi Electronics Exhibition, the biggest event of push-to-talk technologies in China, was held in Chenghui International Exhibition Center, Quanzhou. Two-way Radio manufacturers, Push-to-talk over Cellular (PoC) software developers, accessary vendors, integrators, and distributors from all over the country gathered to show their latest products, follow the latest technological trends, and network with industry stakeholders. At the exhibition, the leading PoC communications solution provider POCSTARS launched new features such as an indoor positioning solution via its latest software platform release; it also showcased its new PoC server.
On top of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Building Information Management (BIM) solution, POCSTARS develops its positioning applications for both outdoor and indoor scenarios. Indoor positioning has been a challenge for many. With BIM providing indoor map and building structure information, the POCSTARS system can track the location of terminals across the structure horizontally and vertically. This feature will be added to POCSTARS overseas software version later.
For overseas markets, POCSTARS released MiniServer M200. With the capacity of supporting up to 200 users, it is featured with push-to-talk trunking call, voice recording, positioning, and text message. The server itself is compact and power efficient. It requires no more effort than setting up a Wi-Fi router; it is stress-free to deploy, configure and maintain. Customers can start with 50 users in the system and later expand up to 200 according to the actual demand. MiniServer M200 is an ideal push-to-talk solution for hospitals, hotels, supermarkets, etc.
