Vertex Standard Co Ltd of Tokyo was originally formed in 1956 as the Yaesu Musen Co Ltd. It was one of the first companies to manufacture commercial radio communications equipment for the Radio Amateur Market and has expanded over the intervening years to manufacture leading-edge and innovative products not only in the Amateur Radio Market, but also in the Commercial PMR market under the Vertex Standard banner, in the marine market with a range of radios and chart plotters under the Standard Horizon banner, and Amateur Radio under the Yaesu banner.
