NSW Telco Authority Critical Communications Enhancement Program Shortlisted for Prestigious Award
The NSW Telco Authority Critical Communications Enhancement Program (CCEP) has been named a finalist in the 2023 NSW Resilient Australia Awards.
NSW Telco Authority announced that their Critical Communications Enhancement Program (CCEP) has been named a finalist in the 2023 NSW Resilient Australia Awards.
Being shortlisted is a great recognition of the important work NSW Telco Authority does in keeping their communities and first responders connected and safe.
By expanding the Public Safety Network (PSN) through more than 360 new and enhanced radio communications sites across the state, the CCEP is ensuring frontline responders have a more reliable network to help keep people and places connected and safe.
The CCEP is building a single network for first responders, expanding coverage to reach 99.7 per cent of the population. The network provides two-way communications for front-line emergency services and other network users - meaning agencies can connect with each other on a single shared network.
The NSW Resilient Australia Awards showcase and celebrate initiatives that build whole-of-community resilience to disasters and emergencies. Disaster preparedness and recovery has never been more important as NSW communities recover from the devastating events of the past few years and turn their attention to preparing for future disasters.
On social Media NSW telco Authrity stated:
"It is an honour for our people involved in the CCEP to be recognised for the critical work we are doing for communities in NSW. We look forward to the awards ceremony on 1 November 2023 at NSW Parliament House."
