Safer Communities with P25 and DMR Multiprotocol Operation
During emergencies and critical events, multiple organizations cooperate to coordinate effective response efforts. Communications are essential for the coordination efforts, but unfortunately, first responders often face many challenges in interagency communication. Different organizations may operate on different frequency bands and radio standards based on their specific needs.
P25 is the dominant public safety communications technology in North America and Oceania, as well as being used in many other countries around the world. However, DMR technology is widely used by local governments, utilities, schools and other organizations in these regions. More effective communication between these organizations would significantly improve safety outcomes for the community, but there is no inherent interoperability between the P25 and DMR standards.
By supporting both P25 and DMR standards, the Tait 9900 series enables communication between police and fire agencies with other mission-critical organizations, including schools, utilities, local government, surf lifesaving, coastguard and transportation. With improved coordination between agencies, first responders are able to respond quickly, ultimately contributing to the safety of the community.
Tait 9900 series radios can operate in Analog Conventional, P25 Conventional, P25 Trunking Phase 1 and Phase 2, DMR Tier 2 Conventional and DMR Tier 3 Trunking. Changing between modes is as easy as changing channels.
Why Choose Tait 9900 Series Multiband Multiprotocol Radios?
The 9900 series are the best value P25 radios in the market – great value as single-band P25 radios, as well as software upgradeable to add multiband and multiprotocol DMR capability when needed. Designed for a changing world, the 9900 series future proof flexibility gives you the confidence to move forward with your fleet upgrade today and evolve over time.
