New Digital Radio Trunking licence for 10 year for Entropia Digital
Entropia is a digital mobile telecommunications network for the professional user and is located in the surroundings of Bruges, Belgium and Rotterdam, The Netherlands
After the assignment of a digital telecom license (TETRA) by the Belgian Institute of Postal and Telecommunications (BIPT) in Belgium, Entropia Digital Telecom receives from the Dutch Telecom regulator a new digital license for Radiotrunking. As in Belgium, the license is valid for ten (10) years, until September 1, 2021.
The application dates back to December 8, 2010 with great care and was carefully studied by the Telecom Agency and Entropia Digital. The license is technology independent (TETRA, dPMR, DMR, ...). Because of this Entropia Digital will be able to migrate to the required technology (ies) or any new technologies in the future.
Entropia is a digital mobile telecommunications network for the professional user and is located in the surroundings of Bruges (Oostkamp) and Rotterdam. By applying the digital trunking radio communication technology teh network is optimized for both voice and data communications between mobile phones, radios, telemetry interfaces, computer and control rooms. Sharing is eliminated and a customer does not have to invest in network infrastructure. Over the last years the digital communications technology has become mature. The price for the radios have dropped in price, the voice quality has increased and the call set-up decreased to a value less than 300 mS.
The Entropia subscription can be tailored to the average usage per month, the coverage area and required functionality. The subscription includes a flat-rate fee per month and per network connection (subscriber). This allows the user to be running for a longer period in advance and no surprises concerning budgets.
Entropia Digital is installing its network at various locations such as pylons, buildings, cell towers, sites in areas of business, and so on. The network is growing strongly and already provides coverage over 60,000 km ² in Belgium and the Netherlands.
