Russian Government to spend RUB 1 bln on network support in Sochi
The Russian government plans to allocate RUB 1 billion from the federal budget for three years for the support of the fibre-optic and Tetra networks in Sochi, reports Cnews.ru
The allocation will total RUB 400 million this year and RUB 610 million in 2015-2016. The state invested RUB 4.5 billion in the deployment of the networks ahead of the Olympics in Sochi. The fibre network connects Anapa, Dzhugba and Sochi and also has a branch to Krasnodar, for a total length of 700 kilometres. The deployment cost RUB 2.4 billion.
The Tetra network covers the whole area of the Krasnodar region and cost RUB 2.1 billion.
