TCCA announces Mladen Vratonjić as new chair
The TCCA has announced that Mladen Vratonjić will be the new Chair of the association. Mladen takes over from Phil Godfrey, who is retiring after a combined 14 years’ service.
Mladen’s appointment was approved at the TCCA’s Annual General Meeting held during Critical Communications World. Mladen has 33 years’ experience in telecommunications, including ten in public safety. He was responsible for all telecommunication systems for the Serbian police and fire brigades including the emergency call centres and Serbia’s public safety TETRA network.
Retiring chair Phil Godfrey has led the TCCA twice. He was one of the founding members of the TETRA MoU in 1994 while working for Philips and was elected to the position of chair in 1998 for a three year period. He was asked to take the position again in 2004.
TCCA CEO Phil Kidner said: “On behalf of what has become a global organisation with significant influence in the critical communications world, I would like to thank Phil for all he has achieved for the TCCA. We welcome Mladen to a strong and stable association which is looking forward to a future as successful as its past.”
