Miejskie Przedsiebiorstwo Komunikacyjne (MPK) in the city of Czestochowa, Poland, recently equipped 40 new buses with air-conditioning, eco-drive, USB, additional passenger facilities.

In addition the buses are also equipped with the latest Motorola Solutions MTM5400 and MTP6750 TETRA radios, working on a Motorola Dimetra IP digital communications system. The new TETRA system and subscribers were delivered by AKSEL, Motorola's leading partner in Poland.

The tender for the project was launched last year where Aksel has submitted the most favorable offer. The supplied Dimetra IP system can further be expanded with additional base stations without having to replace any component. Aditionally, the new system had to be integrated with the existing MTP1327 trunking system.

"We are delighted with the implementation of this prestigious contract. MPK Czestochowa joined in this way, a group of modern public transport companies, using the TETRA standard", comments Stanisław Słowik - president of Aksel.
