Tait completes DMR interoperability testing with Selex ES
Last year, the DMR Association awarded Tait the world's first DMR Tier 3 IOP Certificate following formal standardized testing of its DMR Tier 3 infrastructure.
Tait Communications, a global leader in the design, deployment and support of critical communication solutions, has successfully completed Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) interoperability testing with Selex ES, a Finmeccanica company.
The DMR Association has awarded the Interoperability (IOP) Certificate following formal verified testing of Tait DMR Tier 3 terminals with Tier 3 infrastructure from Selex ES.
John Graham, Solutions Marketing Manager, Tait Communications, says: "This further validates our long-standing commitment to providing customers with genuine, proven open-standards solutions.
"Organizations and personnel who depend on interoperable critical communications to carry out their work safely and efficiently can be assured that Tait DMR Tier 3 equipment is fully interoperable with equally certified equipment from other vendors."
Andrea Pratesi, Head of Homeland Security & Critical Infrastructures at Selex ES, comments: "With this IOP-certified trunking simulcast Tier 3 solution, Selex ES has completed its DMR product portfolio. Interoperability has been the key driver during the design phase, and customers can be confident that the ECOS-D RBS4000 family of products will meet their most demanding requirements."
Tait is committed to open-standards technology and its DMR solution is no exception. Tait DMR is built on the proven MPT 1327 trunking architecture and designed to be fully compliant with the Digital Mobile Radio open standards defined by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute.
