If you are at the show this week, Simoco invites you to tests the improved Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) solution, Simoco Xd, and P25 technology at the Simoco booth (#441).
Both solutions now play a major role in making mission critical radio communication accessible to all and have benefited from a number of enhancements. The company has upgraded Simoco Xd to include the capability for full duplex calling on its range of DMR portables, which Bahrain Airport installed last year. Also the P25 range has recently benefited from developments including extra option board support in the SRM9000 mobiles, site trunking terminal compatibility and an increase to SB2025NT simulcast capacity, allowing up to a 200 site network. The simulcast infrastructure has also recently been successfully integrated with Zetron, Avtec and Omintronics dispatch systems.
As the company expands further across North and South America, IWCE is already proving to be an excellent platform for Simoco to demonstrate DMR and P25 as ideal public safety platforms for interoperability. According to Simoco, each solution allows multiple government organizations to talk together and DMR can even offer the same or enhanced features and functionality at a lower cost than P25.
