Hytera brings PMR into top-class cycling sport
Next to the new solutions as SmartOne and Patrol System, Hytera Mobilfunk gives an insight into a special radio project at the PMRExpo in Cologne.
Together with experts from the cycle racing sport the company works on a telemetry solution for the determination and evaluation of performance data.
Measured data, which is collected during the ride with sensors on the bike and the athletes´ body can be transferred via DMR to a repeater in the team car. On basis of this data, the coach can prepare the athlete for changing situations in the race. Furthermore, the data offers the possibility of a detailed analysis afterwards.
The most important benefit of this solution is the usage of DMR as instrument for data transmission. So that cycling teams can collect real-time training data in remote areas regardless of the availability of public mobile networks. That is how Hytera brings the mechanisms of Professional Mobile Radio into professional sports.
