White Paper Details Perceived Impact of Broadband on 9-1-1 Centers

Titled “Supply vs. Demand,” the white paper is a compilation of data received from participants during two focus group sessions conducted by Presidential Partners Consulting in August 2013 during the annual conference of the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International.

Focus group participants received an overview of the proposed First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) broadband plan and were then asked what they perceived the impact of broadband to be on their respective communications centers. The white paper shows the need and importance of involving U.S. telecommunicators in the use and development of applications that impact first responders.
