Hytera exhibited at the CommsConnect exhibition and conference again this year in Melbourne from 26-28 November. Hytera had the opportunity to present the “HYTERA GROUP” globally by having its overseas counterparts Sepura, Sinclair, Norsat and Teltronic on the stand. It was a busy 3 days with bump in of the entire stand on Tuesday 26 then ready for the exhibition and conference on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 November. Hytera's stand was the largest on site this year and positioned in prime real estate, so Hytera were able to been seen from every corner of the room and the large overhead sign also made it hard for Hytera to be missed. Sam Fasullo (from Norsat) was one of our keynote speakers on Wednesday 27 November presented on “Is DMR/Radio over Satellite the Next Solution?” This topic generated a lot of interest and attracted a full room of people with even guests having to stand at the back of the room.

Sepura were also lucky enough to have an international guest Chris Fleckney from The Metropolitan Police in the UK, who, as a key note speaker, presented on “Maximising the effectiveness of legacy systems to prepare for the challenges of the future.” It was great to receive more insight into the topic, and to understand why London’s Metropolitan Police Service is investing in its existing TETRA critical communication solution to improve its immediate operational efficiency and help in the transition toward the next generation Emergency Services Network (ESN) and how that might be relevant from a global perspective.
