SNCF (French Railways), has just renewed its partnership with the French manufacturer Crosscall to equip its Customer Relations agents with a robust smartphone: the STELLAR-X5.

Crosscall will therefore equip the 23,000 SNCF customer service agents with this model, whether they are controllers, station managers, salespeople or remote advisors for the next 5 years.

The STELLAR-X5 is Crosscall's latest smartphone, launched in October 2023. In addition to the requirements of the MIL-STD-801H standard, the STELLAR-X5 has undergone numerous tests to ensure its resistance: repeated drops from 1.5 meters high, corresponding to a fall of the user's hands but also bending tests, exerted at a pressure of 500 newtons. For its screen, the French brand's engineers chose Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass. This is one of the most resistant glasses on the market, allowing it to be IK05 certified.

The downside of the device is that it does NOT have a dedicated Push-to-Talk button, however the software is able to adapt a wide varity of available MCX PTT applications.

The screen of the STELLAR-X5 is 6.49 inches with a 20:9 ratio. Its grip is made easier thanks to the non-slip granular material used on its rear side. It features a 50 MP Sony main sensor with a 120° wide angle supplemented by stabilization algorithms.

Crosscall, a Gold member of the Android Enterprise Partner Program, offers 3 OS upgrades and 5 years of security patch updates.

Thanks to its 4,500 mAh battery, combined with energy-efficient components, the STELLAR-X5 offers a battery life of 2.5 days according to the manufacturer's data.
