Carsten Hofmann Becomes New Director for e-Message
Previous director, Dr. Dietmar Gollnick, will now be leading the e-Message Group as CEO
In December 2019, Carsten Hofmann took over the management of e-Message Wireless Information Services (W.I.S.) Deutschland GmbH from Dr. Dietmar Gollnick, who is now the CEO of the entire e-Message Group. Dr. Dietmar Gollnick will also serve as President of the global Critical Messaging Association (CMA), which advocates secure messaging in critical situations. At the beginning of November 2019, Gollnick in Brussels was unanimously elected to succeed the long-time incumbent Derek Banner (Great Britain).
The Berlin-based mobile network operator e-Message maintains Europe's largest security radio network: a satellite-based radio network that is independent of public networks.
Carsten Hofmann has held various functions for the e-Message W.I.S. Deutschland GmbH operates. From 2000 to 2019, he was responsible for the areas of product planning, product development and marketing. The Berliner is a trained information electronics technician and started his career after completing his studies in communications engineering with the radio operator RegioKom (later Dolphin Telecom) with offices in Cologne, Paris and Basingstoke. There, Hofmann was responsible for network operations, network planning, the billing system and product management in various positions. Since 2005, Hofmann has been the managing director of the e-Message subsidiary e-Dispatch PMR GmbH, which operates a trunked radio network in the Berlin metropolitan area.
