BelFone Introduces Team Collaboration & Communications Solution for Healthcare
As cross-department cooperation and field response need instant group communications more than ever, BelFone now introduced the BelFone SDC system that empowers medical workers to respond quickly.
COVID-19 is not letting go of its bite. As it reshuffles its cards, it is sending more and more victims to hospitals all over the world, putting hospitals under unprecedented pressure. A lot of hospitals find it hard to keep pace with the development of the epidemic, as they struggle to respond to the urgent medical needs of the ever growing number of COVID-19 cases. Cross-department cooperation and field response need instant group communications more than ever.
In view of the above challenge, BelFone as a professional communication solution-provider introduces BelFone SDC system to empower medical workers to respond quickly and save the day. BelFone SDC system is a smart digital connect system based on ETSI DMR standards and is compatible with analog standards, which means the hospital can still use their existing analog radios, if there is any, along with the DMR system. It is a great budget saving for the hospital. Supporting both VHF and UHF bands, SDC combines communication and computer technologies for the acquisition, analysis and storage of data, delivering versatile voice and data services for critical communications. The all-IP infrastructure of the system allows it to leverage a variety of networks, both public and private, to achieve extensive coverage.
Real-time Positioning and Tracking
The system integrates GPS, GIS Map and RFID technology to deliver real-time positioning and tracking service. Such system features are powerful to visualize the dispatching task forces. Prehospital care or Emergency Medical Service (EMS) workers can be managed more efficiently especially when they are on the move. They can also report vital information about the patient in advance to the emergency room, and the latter is enabled to prepare all the necessary equipment and procedures before the patient actually is in the hospital. Through the dedicated timeslot for data service, all terminals automatically and constantly report their position information to the command center, which can be read and stored on the dispatcher platform. As the commander can track all movements of terminals on the GIS map, and can even restrict the movements of any specific terminal by setting Geo Fencing, team management and personnel dispatching are more efficient.
Smart Command & Dispatch
Terminals are defined, grouped and assigned with different priority level according to the user’s place in the hospital hierarchy. The integrated GPS, RFID and GIS Map deliver visual management, so that the commander can make the best dispatch decisions based on sound field information. In the effort to contain COVID-19, many governments are mobilizing healthcare taskforces to go into communities or set up drive-through to do proactive test. All operations and events are stored in the system database, including radio power on/off records, working shifts, patrol records, voice recordings, GPS tracks, alarm records, etc. All this information can be easily accessed and exported in Excel format. Two-way radios greatly facilitate onsite teamwork, and, more importantly, emergencies can be handled promptly.
Flexible IP Networking
The all-IP infrastructure of the system allows the user to deploy devices and personnel anywhere within the network and achieve cross-regional communications. Network nodes can be added or removed with ease, which greatly facilitates network expansion through single site or IP multi-sites.
